Data sheets are sales and marketing tools designed to explain various Smartrac RFID transponders and Traceless technologies in the Smartrac product portfolio. Their purpose is to break down complex technologies into an easily digestible format for potential clients at trade shows and meetings. Data sheets serve as a point of reference for the product, a point of contact with Smartrac’s sales teams, and they also provide technical specifications required by potential clients to implement the technologies into their products and supply chain.







White Papers

White papers are designed for use as highly detailed technical specifications, product references, or quick start guides for various Smartrac technologies. The goal of the white paper design is to provide as much information as possible about a particular product offering so that employees or clients can implement the technology into their own projects or systems as easily as possible.
Compliance Policies

Compliance policies are internal Smartrac documents for the use of employees. They are designed to convey laws, regulations, and policies that employees must be aware of and abide by in order to work with Smartrac. The company is internationally located so compliance policies such as Anti-Bribery, Code of Conduct and Integrity, Guide to Competition Law, Trade Control Policy, and Whistleblowing Procedure, all required type layout and production in multiple languages. The goal was to provide information to employees in their native language so that there would be no misinterpreting of Smartrac's stance on any of their policies.

The Smartrac Apfelspritz (Apple Spritz) can design was created as a branded giveaway for trade shows in Germany. The goal was to provide some refreshments and create a practical use case to demonstrate products to potential customers. The soda can is a point of interaction to demo the Metrics and Experiences solutions by Smart Cosmos using Smartrac’s metallic use products the Midas Flag UHF tag and the Circus On-Metal NFC tag in a practical application. The UHF tag is used to demo the Metrics solution for inventory management in retail applications. The NFC tag is used to demonstrate the Experiences solution for consumer engagement in retail applications.
Traceless Product Labels

The Smartrac Traceless product label designs were created for the various Traceless readers in the brand’s line of products. They are used in the manufacturing and supply chain environment, and used along with RFID technology, Traceless markings and readers provide a secondary form of invisible product authentication. Traceless solutions were created to embed invisible serial codes into products in order to stop counterfeit and gray market diversion within supply chains. The goal of the label design was to provide all necessary branding, regulatory, and language requirements, as well as providing an easy to use interface and easy to clean surface that is suitable for manufacturing, distribution, and specialty store use.

The Smartrac Intrace Syringe packaging design was created to house the companies various sizes of pre-sterilized microchip implanting systems used for the purpose of animal identification. The entire product line is used in conjunction with Smartrac’s Intrace RH5 / RH7 Handheld Readers and the Intrace Connect app for an all-in-one chipping system for animal identification, implantation and tracking. The goal of the design was to provide a single retail packaging layout for the various sizes of Intrace Syringes used by Veterinarians, Animal Breeders, and Livestock caretakers, while serving as a point of interaction for Intrace product information, Intrace Connect application downloads, and Intrace Syringe refills.

NFC Product Information & Experiences Solution Demo

The Smartrac NFC experience was created for trade shows to demonstrate the benefits of pairing NFC technology with products. It was used on the Smartrac branded Apfelspritz can giveaway to demonstrate NFC on metallic surfaces. When a customer taps the NFC tag on the can with their Smartphone they are taken to supplemental web based marketing information related to the various NFC tags available from the company. It serves as a single point of interaction to provide product and solution datasheets, as well as a means of contact with sales teams. It was designed to serve as a practical demonstration for both Smartrac NFC tags and the Smart Cosmos Experiences solution.

The Intrace Syringe NFC interactive packaging experience was created with the intention of serving as a single point of interaction for users to learn more about the product, download the Intrace Connect app, order handheld readers, order Intrace products or refills, and contact Smartrac sales representatives. When a customer taps the NFC tag on the packaging with a smartphone they are taken to a micro site that combines all the necessary digital resources regarding the Intrace Syringe product line into a single point of reference.

The Intrace Connect app was designed as a solution to streamline the process of animal identification and microchipping of animals. The goal was to create a simple and easy to use application that allowed Veterinarians, Animal Breeders, and Livestock caretakers to quickly microchip animals, create unique animal profiles linked to the microchip and upload the animal’s information into a database.

The Smartrac logo reveal was designed and animated for use as an intro or outro brand plate for video content related to Smartrac products and services. The Smartrac wave is the preferred supporting graphic used with the Smartrac logo in print, web and environmental design. The goal of the animation was to take the still wave graphic which represents the electromagnetic radio communication between RFID transponder and RFID reader, and bring it to life in motion.
Green Tag Program

The Green Tag Program video was created as a campaign element for a sustainable RFID line of products available by Smartrac. With ever increasing sustainability goals in business and production throughout the world, Smartrac wanted to introduce a green alternative to many of their RFID inlays and tags. The goal was to animate clean, clear, and dynamic supporting typography for the live action video while working within the brand design guidelines. The typography used in the messaging is a thinner weight of the Theinhardt typeface and is meant to convey a smaller carbon and chemical footprint as well as a slimmed down product that utilizes minimal resources in its production.

The NFC for All video was created for use as a looping web banner on the Smartrac website homepage. Its purpose was to quickly explain to brands how integrating NFC with products increases a brand's value while providing a channel to connect directly with consumers. Many potential customers don't fully understand the capabilities of NFC outside of its use in payments for goods, so the main goal of the animation was to explain the various types of consumer interactions that can be enabled by NFC integrated products.
